Playing Dress Up (Tribal&Pink)

I have always been a fan of the color PINK ever since I can remember (which btw, shows in my main blog title) LOL! Also, I'm kind of diggin' this TRIBAL PRINT lately, I find it somehow pretty attractive to look at. It's classic, fun, and it's perfect for summer. I love how both of them blend together.

I just got soooo bored and decided to do these.. (as always) :-)) Thanks to my very helpful friend, Tripod! :-))

Still I Rise

I was browsing through the internet and found this amazing poem. It actually made me feel proud as a person or shall I say, as an INDIVIDUAL.

I can relate to it wholeheartedly because I was once a person who was never even proud of who I am.. I had so much doubts with myself, there were lots of people who want to bring me down and belittle me.. I even came to a point where the only choice that's left in me is to give up. But then I am very thankful now because I've met so many people that helped me to be confident and to know what I am really capable of.

I'm also thankful to those who didn't believe in my capabilities because they inspired me to still push myself further into my dreams. Never stop hating me, because that will never be my problem at all. It will forever be yours and yours alone. Oh, and thanks sooo much really! I cannot thank you all enough! Keep it coming! :-)))

Lastly, I would like to thank my loved ones, because they are my only strength. They are the ones who never doubted me. I owe it highly to them. :-)

Now back to the poem, it's kind of long but I swear it's worth reading.. So, here it goes..

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

And therefore, STILL I RISE!

So everyone, never let anyone bring you down. Instead, take it as a challenge. Because it's only you who know yourself more than anyone else. Let all of them see what you've got!

Hope you all like it! :-)

Home Remedies for Dry and Colored Hair

Colored hair problems?

Which results to a bad hair day? Sweetie, you're not alone!

Heya! I've been searching for cheap finds to treat my colored hair, so I looked for a quick and easy alternative instead of buying expensive products each time. Well I guess almost everyone of us has this specific complain when it comes to this matter, right? Yes, it ends up really dry and damaged every freaking time. I say hello because we have the same problem, too! So, I usually color my hair, I love how it looks especially when it comes to unique hair colors, it makes me feel like a totally different person right after! Are you still with me? :-) Now the bad part each time is it ends up really dry and frizzy! Talk about a total bad hair day!

To help you out with which products at home you can use as an alternative to those expensive treatments.. These are the products that could really be helpful:

MAYONNAISE

I'm actually diggin this thing right now.. It smells really bad for me but I think it's worth the try. :-)

Mayonnaise is one of the best products you have in your kitchen to help you keep your color-treated hair healthy and shiny. Mayonnaise contains protein from eggs and oils which help to nourish the scalp. It can be applied to the hair after a moisturizing shampoo and combed through using a wide toothed comb. Cover the head with a plastic bag or plastic wrap. Then, apply heat with a blow dryer or moist towels you have put in the microwave for about a minute. Leave on the head for 10 to 45 minutes. Remove, rinse and shampoo again. This will help close the cuticle of the hair and stop the color molecules from escaping. It will also deliver a shot of protein to strengthen and condition the hair.

OLIVE OIL

Olive oil is a lot more expensive than the mayonnaise but I actually will give it a try pretty soon, too! It has these natural ingredients that could be pretty effective to every parts of our body.

Olive oil is a great hair conditioner that will help your color to last longer and look more lustrous. Warm 1/16 of a cup of olive oil in the microwave for a few seconds. Apply to the scalp using a color applicator brush, or your fingers. Perform application on the more damaged areas first and then run the oil through the rest of the hair. Give the scalp a massage using your fingertips, applying moderate pressure to work the oil in and increase stimulation. This will give the hair a shine and make the color shimmer. It will also help to close the cuticle of the hair for a healthier glow.

VINEGAR

The cheapest product among the three. This could be really stinky. As for me, maybe I will just stick to the mayonnaise. LOL. But if you're willing to try this one too then why not. Go ahead. :-)
Use vinegar to eliminate buildup. Product or pollutant buildup on the hair can make the hair seem dry and dull. By removing the accumulation, you will reveal the underlying color which should be shinier and healthier in appearance. Mix one part vinegar with two parts water for best results. Use a spray bottle to saturate hair with the mixture after a shampoo. Comb through and leave in for at least five minutes for best results. Follow with a shampoo and conditioner.

So I hope I did help you out with these things, guys! After all, it's definitely worth the try! I guarantee! Good luck! :-)

P.S.
I actually have no idea how to fix this blog post. It's okay just as long as you can read everything. Yes? Right. Hehe! Thanks :-)

Something New

So I've decided to cut my hair today! I've always wanted this kind of haircut for as long as I can remember but when I get to the salon, it would always end up as a one big failure! Ughhh maybe I'm just too keen when it comes to my hair? But really, isn't it always a big thing to us girls when it comes to these things? Zzzzz anyway, I'm glad I liked the outcome! Liiiiike it too?! Oh please I am begging! Hehe! Also, thank God for this new necklace! At long last I already found the one that I'm looking for! Best part is, it pairs with my lovely earrings! They must be soulmates! Aren't they? LOOOL! I am sooo so so happy I wanna die! It's so preeeetttyyyy I can't stop staring until now.. I swear to wear them forever as long as I live! :-))) Thank yoooouuuuuuuu :-) Oh and I'm really sorry for being so much of a girl sometimes!
